Thermography is indispensable in many industries, especially in construction, energy, medicine, industry. It makes it possible to record thermal radiation in the mid-infrared band and, based on this, create a thermal image, or thermogram. In practice, thermal imaging measurements improve work. They allow, for example, to locate the source of a defect in a building without interfering with the walls. They also enable significant savings. It is easy to detect where in the building the greatest heat takeoffs are occurring and to work to reduce them. In addition,  Thermography makes it possible to conduct an energy audit and optimize thermal energy costs. The method is also used in medicine – with its help it is possible to localize inflammation.

Thermal imaging measurements are characterized by high accuracy. Thanks to them, you can effectively control the correctness of the operation of the central heating system and the electrical system. They also allow you to check the condition of window frames, locate the cause of the formation of mold and mildew. They allow you to verify the level of tightness of buildings. In addition,  Thermography is helpful in manufacturing plants. With its help, it is possible to check the condition of the electrical system at standard load and undertake possible repairs. This improves work safety and saves from a fire caused by faulty installation. Thermal imaging cameras are also used to assess the condition of equipment and check whether individual parts are overheating. This saves money on servicing equipment.

Have thermography done by professionals

Thermal imaging cameras are widely available today. They can be easily purchased, including for private use. However, it is not an art to take measurements and pictures. It has to be done in the right way, with the right rules. It is also important to correctly analyze the results and interpret the data. Without this, no constructive conclusions can be drawn. Our company is familiar with thermography. We know what to pay attention to when measuring. We have professional equipment. Our employees have the necessary licenses and directional education. Thus, we are able to perform tests in accordance with ISO 18436-7:2008. Contact us and be assured that we will perform the task with due diligence.

At thermography is affected by many factors, including atmospheric radiation: humidity, cloud cover, air temperature. Hence, the thermal imaging camera should be used under appropriate conditions, and in seasons where temperatures are lower – winter, autumn, early spring. In exceptional cases, thermal imaging measurements are also carried out in summer, but only if there is an adequate temperature difference inside and outside. Optimal conditions for thermographic surveys occur when the difference between outdoor and indoor temperatures is at least 10 degrees. In addition, atmospheric conditions are important. Ideally, the weather should be moderately stable in terms of temperature, and the sky should be overcast (it is also possible to carry out a survey with cloudless skies and significant temperature changes, depending on the purpose of the measurement and the needs of the client).
